Photochromic lenses

The principle of the photochromic lens is to apply a photochromic coating to the surface of the lens. This coating usually reacts to ultraviolet (UV) light and changes color. When the lens is exposed to ultraviolet rays from sunlight, it will quickly begin the transition. The depth of the color change is affected by the intensity of the UV light. Without ultraviolet light, the lens will return to clear and transparent (indoor).
