Cleaning of spectacle lenses

Modern spectacle lenses are coated with a coating to increase light transmission and provide multi-functions, but the coating layer is the most fragile part of the lens.

 

A standard way to clean your glass:
First, gently rinse the lens surface with water to remove hard and sharp objects from the lens. Use a neutral detergent diluted in cold water (e.g., soap diluted more than 20 times) to clean the lens, then use a clean fiber cloth to wipe the lens.

2. Heat up to 70 degrees Celsius can distort the base material of the lens, causing damage to the optical structure.
