Progressive Lens - Multifocal Lenses
Multifocal Lense
In the past, people with both myopia and presbyopia had to wear bifocal lenses for correction. A clear line in the center of a bifocal lens separates the top and bottom portions of the lens with different powers. When you look straight ahead, you can see distant objects clearly, and you can see near objects clearly through the bottom of the lens. But when your vision crosses the line, it starts to "jump" between two very different powers and feels uncomfortable.
Progressive Lenses
The progressive lens has no obvious dividing line, and the lens power slowly changes from bottom to top. With progressive lenses, you will be happy and comfortable whether you are looking at far away or close up. After a short adaptation period, the wearer will feel the benefits of progressive lenses.
